VOTE MUSIC
What will drive your vote?
The Federal election will happen before 17 May 2025 and concurrently, the WA State Election is on Saturday 8 March.
Voting for who will deliver for live music has never been more important.
The ALMBC is working with all other national music industry organisations and all the state organisations to develop one unified statement for the music industry.
Soon we will be announcing a new website, which will centralise the focus across the continent. Stay tuned for this!
In Western Australia, WAM recently announced support for WA’s contemporary music industry from a re-elected Cook Government. Including:
- $1.2m per annum for the Contemporary Music Fund
- $750,000 for WAM to promote live music, publicise gigs and prioritise audience development across the state.
- $125,000 per annum for four years to support WAM’s flagship event – WA Music Week, which features WAM’s annual industry development conference (WAMCon), and industry showcase festival of local music (WAMFest) alongside a week of local gigs.
These announcements come following the recent two-year funding arrangement for WAM of $500,000 per annum.
