40 Speakers locked in for Regional & Remote Summit – Mt Gambier
The Regional and Remote Music Summit has added another 19 speakers to its 2026 program, taking the line-up past 40 industry voices ahead of the Summit’s run in Berrin / Mount Gambier from 28 to 30 October.
Delivered through MusicSA, this final round of speakers deepens the program’s focus on artists, First Nations perspectives, local government and the people who actually make regional music happen. They join the 25 speakers announced last month.
Between them they will lead the Summit’s biggest conversations, covering regional music infrastructure, how to design the future regional and remote music system, the potency of creative and cultural leadership outside the capitals, and how to shape the regional music workforce through skills, pathways and sustainability.

A showcase program across all three nights
The conference sits alongside four showcases built around Limestone Coast and South Australian talent. Rock Lock Records label owner Jack Lane opens proceedings on the Wednesday with an all Limestone Coast showcase at Woolstore Brewery, featuring Alison Newman, Gernz, Sexy As Shit and Stokes.
Thursday is a double bill. The Moshtix Margaritas at the Globe Hotel comes first, with a line-up curated by General Admission Entertainment featuring Greasy, Ned Baulderstone and Piper Wallin. Later that evening the Adelaide University Alumni Showcase at Limestone Coast Pantry brings together DEM MOB, My Cherie and The Genevieves, a nod to the University’s Mount Gambier campus and the artists who have come through it.
The live music program wraps up on Friday lunchtime with the Carclew x Wildlive Showcase, spotlighting emerging artists Cheleigh, Bousta and Live Slug Reaction on a 100 per cent off-grid stage built by Wildlive. It doubles as a working demonstration of how solar-powered, low-impact production can deliver quality live music well beyond traditional infrastructure.
What the organisers say
MusicSA CEO Christine Schloithe said the program had been shaped by a national advisory committee representing regional and remote music sectors across the country.

“Working through a national advisory committee that is truly representative of Australia’s diverse regional and remote music sectors, the program has been distilled to an extraordinary range of industry professionals from right around the country, with every state and territory represented, presenting on the most pressing and topical themes impacting regional and remote music today.”
South Australian Deputy Premier and Minister for the Arts, Kyam Maher MLC, said he was looking forward to the Summit coming to his hometown.
