Can Australian Music Survive in the Age of Spotify?
All eyes are on South Australia next week with the most exciting & global Indie-Con Conference ever.
The ALMBC is celebrating hosting a breakfast on Friday 1 August – all welcome.
We are also focussing on the opportunities on regional touring between Melbourne and Adelaide with our own driving tour in the lead up to Indie-Con.
Driving through Yarraville, Geelong, Anglesea, Torquay, Warrnambool, Portland and Mount Gambier, we are meeting up with key music leaders on the way including venues, bookers, agents and more, following great work that Music Vic and Music SA have undertaken to build these touring circuits.
The purpose is to show the viability of live music touring between Melbourne and Adelaide – instead of flying; connecting local leaders across those pathways; supporting people who do the hard yards in regional Australia to keep live music happening.
