Australian music industry professionals have until 17 June to express interest in subsidised delegations to three major international markets.
Sounds Australia has opened expressions of interest for three international trade missions, giving Australian music industry professionals a funded pathway into the Indian, Southeast Asian and Mexican markets. The three missions cover All About Music in Mumbai (23-28 August), the AXEAN Festival in Bali (28-31 August), and MUSICMEX in Mexico City (1-7 November). All expressions of interest close at 11:59pm AEST on Wednesday 17 June.
Successful applicants receive a contribution towards international flights, accommodation for the official delegation period at the designated hotel, access to Sounds Australia networking events, and a full program of panels and market insights. Applicants can submit EOIs for more than one mission but will only be selected for one.

All About Music, Mumbai, India | 23-28 August
All About Music is India’s leading music B2B conference, connecting creators, industry experts and key decision-makers with the global executives increasingly turning their attention to one of the world’s fastest-growing music markets. Applications are open to members of AAM, ARIA, AIR, ALMBC, AMPAL and PPCA.

AXEAN Festival, Bali, Indonesia | 28-31 August
The AXEAN Festival is a prominent Southeast Asian music export platform that has, over five editions, featured 200 artists from 20 countries and attracted 240 delegates from 32 countries. Supported by the ASEAN-Australia Centre, this delegation is specifically targeted at Australian-based booking agents, with EOIs to be completed by a senior representative with authority to speak on behalf of the agency.

MUSICMEX, Mexico City, Mexico | 1-7 November
MUSICMEX is a new music market running 4-6 November in Mexico City, focused on connecting professionals with Mexican artists, venues and platforms in what has emerged as one of the most significant countries on the global cultural stage. Coordinated in partnership with the Association of Artist Managers (AAM), this delegation is open to AAM members only.
For Australian music industry professionals looking to build genuine international relationships, trade missions remain one of the most practical ways to do it. India, Indonesia and Mexico represent three markets with significant and growing appetite for Australian music, and these delegations put participants in the room with the people who matter.
