The Australian Music Touring Network has opened venue registrations.
The Australian Music Industry Network launched stage one of the Australian Music Touring Network on 11 August, a national map based directory of live music venues built quietly over the past two years and backed by the federal government through Music Australia and Creative Australia.
Venue registrations are open now. The full public platform for artists, tour managers and the wider industry arrives in October.
Any space that regularly presents original contemporary live music can sign up, but there are conditions attached. The venue has to support fair pay for artists, offer a safe and welcoming environment, keep an online presence and list a public booking contact.
