Revive Live Funding Extended: More Support for Australia’s Live Music Ecosystem
The Australian live music sector has received another vote of confidence, with the Australian Government announcing a further $12.5 million for the Revive Live program in 2026-27, continuing much-needed support for venues, festivals and the artists who bring them to life.
For ALMBC members, this is welcome news. Revive Live was established to help venues and festivals navigate challenging operating conditions, reduce the risk of cancellations and closures, and create more opportunities for Australian artists to perform and build sustainable careers.
The program has already delivered $19.3 million in funding to 221 live music businesses, supporting 100 live music venues and 121 music festival activities across Australia. From grassroots community events to major festivals and established venues, the investment is helping keep live music on stages and in communities throughout the country.
Importantly, Revive Live continues to recognise the value of accessibility and inclusion, supporting initiatives that improve audience participation and create career pathways for musicians and music workers with disability.
The latest funding announcement reinforces the Government’s ongoing commitment to the objectives of the National Cultural Policy, Revive, and acknowledges the vital role that venues, festivals and industry professionals play in Australia’s cultural and economic landscape.
ALMBC encourages members operating venues, presenting live music, or working alongside festival partners to review the upcoming funding opportunity and consider how the program may support future activity and get in touch – we can help you get your application submitted, review drafts, help with budgets and write support letters.
