Recently the Victorian Government announced it has increased the number of jobs covered by the Victorian Sick Pay Guarantee pilot initiative, which will now be extended until March 2025.

The initiative provides eligible casual, contract and self-employed workers access to up to 38 hours a year of sick and carer’s pay at the national minimum wage ($23.23 per hour).

More than 400 new jobs – including more than 100 in the arts and creative industries – are now eligible for the Victorian Government’s Sick Pay Guarantee, including some roles relevant to the music sector.
