Walk For Yes
Next weekend will be the biggest of this campaign – as tens of thousands of people around the country Walk for Yes.
There will be speeches, live music acts from leading Australian artists, including Paul Kelly (more announcements soon!) and an outpouring of mass public support for Yes. It will generate the kind of energy and positivity that a campaign against a Voice simply can’t match.
Together we’ll show the millions of undecided voters what it looks like to move forward to constitutional recognition and a Voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in a positive, unified way.
We do have one problem – so many people are signing up to attend that we have to quickly expand our horizons for Walk for Yes.
Putting on events like this around the country is a huge task. We need stages for our musicians and speakers, sound systems so they can be heard, thousands of high-vis vests for volunteers, marquees, and more, the list goes on. And we need to do this in every capital city + dozens of regional centres. We need your help to pull it off.
Chip in to help fund the biggest weekend of the Yes campaign.
The Walk for Yes weekend is critical, because it builds the momentum for our final countdown to the polls – from remote early voting on 25 September, to when they close at 6pm on 14 October.
Our energies will go to having as many conversations with as many voters as possible, on their doorsteps, on the phones and in our communities.
From there we’ll be ensuring as many volunteers as possible are at polling booths, handing out how-to-vote cards and encouraging people to vote Yes.
The more people we can reach and mobilise in the Walk for Yes weekend, the stronger our campaign will be the rest of the way. Can you help make it a huge success?
