Can Australian Music Survive in the Age of Spotify?
The ALMBC offers our heartiest congratulations to the WAM Board and leadership for the great success of WAMcon 2025, including a powerful announcement from the WA Minister for Planning of a new Special Entertainment Precinct in the Northbridge area.
We are amazed at the quality and number of artists and workers in WA and the showcases were simply incredible.
The regional engagement and listening sesson on Thursday was something that we havent seen happening in any other state – with close to 100 regional workers, venues, festivals and artists all gathering to share information about the music industry in their region, including remote First Nations workers and regions.
Congrats to all involved and see you next year!
