Sound NSW has opened the Young Promoter Fund for 2026/27, backing NSW promoters aged 18 to 30 to deliver a series of at least three contemporary live music events.

Promoters can request up to $5,000 per event to a maximum of $25,000, with a further $5,000 available if they bring their own mentor, or Sound NSW can find and pay a mentor directly.

Applicants need an active ABN, businesses must be owned by someone aged 18 to 30, and promoters must already have delivered live music events, so a first event is not eligible.

The fund covers contemporary live music only and does not support artist touring.

Projects run from 1 February 2027 to 28 February 2028 and applications close at 2pm on Wednesday 11 November through the NSW Government grants portal, with Sound NSW staff available for an online meeting or by email at info@sound.nsw.gov.au.
