Can Australian Music Survive in the Age of Spotify?
The ALMBC has had a series of very successful gatherings in Far North Qld, including Townsville and Cairns.
Attendees ranged from the local bowls club running live music weekly, to the biggest dedicated live music venues and the 5K capacity entertainment centre as well as the region’s largest festivals, production companies, promoters, and more, alongside reps from the Qld Music Festival, QMusic and the national Live Music Office.
A key to the success of these sessions, was the collaboration with APRA AMCOS through the national Live Music Office as well as state-based leadership mechanisms QMusic and the Queensland Music Festival.
