The Push and triple j Unearthed are looking for six schools to host free lunchtime gigs
The Push and triple j Unearthed have opened expressions of interest for a 2027 national high school tour, with Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers and Playlunch set to play.
The tour starts in March 2027 and will visit six secondary schools across Australia. Each school hosts a free lunchtime performance from one of the acts, along with music industry career workshops run by the artists and representatives from The Push and triple j Unearthed. A student band from each school also gets a spot on the bill.
Everything happens during school hours, and schools do not need an existing music program or a performing arts facility to apply. The tour is supported by the Australian Government’s Revive Live program.
Principals, music coordinators and student groups can submit an expression of interest through The Push’s high school tour page. The article did not list a closing date, so it is worth checking the page before applying.
